Severe Thunderstorm Watch in Effect for Pikesville

It's lunchtime and rather sunny, but that could change as the day goes by, according to the National Weather Service.

The NWS has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Pikesville and all of Baltimore County.

The watch is in effect through 6 p.m., and includes Baltimore City and Howard, Montgomery and Anne Arundel counties, among others.

According to the NWS' hazardous weather outlook, "thunderstorms will develop this afternoon, some of which will contain damaging winds."

There could be more storms Tuesday. Those storms could contain "large hail and damaging winds," the outlook states.
