Readers: Power Still Out in Parts of Pikesville, Randallstown, Woodlawn

Residents report outages on Facebook pages for Pikesville Patch and WBAL-TV 11. BGE reports outages could be restored by Friday or Saturday.

While BGE reports that it has restored power to 600,000 customers in the 72 hours since Hurricane Irene came through the area, there are still 150,000 customers that don't have power.

Pikesville Patch readers told us on Facebook where power is still out in our area of Baltimore County. We also found some on WBAL-TV 11's Facebook page.

BGE calling

According to a news release from BGE, nearly 5,000 people, including employees, linemen from out-of-state and support staff are working to restore electrical power to BGE customers.

"The utility remains confident that it will restore electric service to the vast majority of customers whose service is still out by Friday with some scattered outages possibly extending into Saturday," the release states.

Today, BGE is trying to call its customers with a recorded message telling them when crews will be in their area.
