In Joe Langley's yard, there's more than just a shoe tree; there is an abundance of roses as well.
It's the season for sun and roses here in Maryland.
And Joe Langley's yard in Sudbrook Park has plenty of both.
I took this photo Friday in his yard when I stopped to inquire about the shoe tree: a mass of dead tree limbs covered in tights and shoes.

The rose is under a shade tree, but sunlight shone directly through the leaves into the center of this bloom.
