Get Mexican-Inspired Cuisine, Live Music at Si Salsa in Pikesville

The café is known around town for its Mexican crab cakes, fajitas and margaritas.

The café serves mouthwatering menu items, including sandwiches, salads, vegetarian dishes, appetizers, desserts and drinks for lunch and dinner.

“Si Salsa is an American restaurant with Mexican-inspired dishes,” said Josh Siever, manager“Most people associate Mexican food with hot food … so we have to make the distinction.”

With so many choices, ordering one dish, dessert and drink can be very challenging. Now that the weather is delightfully warm, take your order to the cafe's outdoor seating.

If you're looking for a lunchtime treat, try Maryland's favorite seafood in the form of a Mexican crab cake sandwich, topped with lettuce, tomato and jalapeno tartar sauce, along with a side of seasoned fries.

“Our Mexican crab cake is to-die-for … It’s really, really good,” said Siever. “We also have our new Mexican mango salad, with our secret ingredient, topped with your choice of shrimp, chicken or steak.” 

For dinner, the Portobello mushroom sandwich topped with lettuce, tomato, cheese and garlic aioli promises to make your taste buds dance. It also comes with seasoned fries.

Let's not forget, customers are treated to an extra surprise when they dine at Si Salsa: The café showcases live bands and singers throughout the week, and features jazz on Tuesday and Friday evenings.

While eating and relaxing from the day’s work or the weekend's errands, enjoy live entertainment from various local artists.

Most live events charge a cover, begin at 8 p.m. and end at closing time. Some of the artists for May include: The Players Club featuring jazz, blues and funk; Rose Hudson, a blues and jazz singer; and Rise Band and Show's jazz ensemble. 

So, if you want to satisfy your food craving and spend some time in the warm spring breeze, Si Salsa is the Pikesville hot spot.
