Christian Faith Center Breaks Ground in Randallstown

A new church at 10240 Liberty Road could be ready for worship as early as Dec. 23, said the Rev. Paul Santos.

It's known by locals as "Jesus Hospital" and "Miracle Hill" by some, but formally as the Baltimore Christian Faith Center.

And come this winter, the congregation will have a new home, right across the alley from its existing building.

"Groundbreaking was Sunday, and yesterday surveyors came and staked out the place for the bulldozers on Friday," the Rev. Paul Santos said. On Monday, bulldozers will begin digging, he said.

The center's new building will be at 10240 Liberty Road, right next to the current one at 10308 Liberty Road.

The church is beginning an $800,000 fundraising effort to pay for its new location, which will, at first, hold 160 people. Later, seating for up to 500 will be added, Santos said.

The church must give up its current site of 40 years, as it belongs to the Presbyterian Church of Maryland, he said.

Services are still being held on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and each is a healing service, Santos said.

The congregation is multicultural, New Testament based, and nondenominational, he said. It boasts members from 21 countries.

Services are at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday, 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, and 7 p.m. Wednesday.
