Pikesville's First Snowfall of the Season Merely a Temporary Dusting, But Leaves Some Ice

Snow didn't stick, but expect some wet, slippery conditions this weekend, according to Accuweather.

UPDATE (8:33 p.m.) — Pikesville welcomed its first snowfall of the season — a light event with up to 1 inch of snow falling Friday afternoon, but most of it quickly melted away. As the temperature dropped Friday evening, spots of ice formed on Pikesville roadways and parking lots.

A major winter storm is expected to pound the East this weekend with snow, ice and rain. In Pikesville it will likely be rain late Saturday into Sunday, eventually accumulating about .75 inches, according to Accuweather.

The I-95 corridor is likely to get rain around Baltimore, and snow and ice further north.
