Thirty-two vendors now appearing weekly at farmer's market, held Fridays at Metro Centre at Owings Mills

Twenty-two different vendors are now selling locally-grown fruits, vegetables, dairy products, flowers and other items at the Metro Centre at Owings Mills Farmer’s Market, which is held each Friday. The market is located at the outdoor Plaza area of Metro Centre at Owings Mills, adjacent to the County Campus building which houses a branch of the Baltimore County Library and the Community College of Baltimore.             • Addison’s Bakery - Artisan-made breads, rolls, pies, cookies and gluten-free breads

            • Dangerously Delicious Pies - locally-made pies from the entrepreneur that was runner-up in the 2013 Next Food Network Star competition

            • Deception Salsa - all-natural GMO-free and gluten-free salsas

            • DT Sugarcane Refreshments - fresh sugarcane juice prepared on-site with a press machine to extract the juice from stalks

            • Edible Flavors - fresh ginger drink, quick breads, cookies and other treats

            • Essential Reign Naturals - handcrafted soaps, cremes, candles and cosmetics

            • Evermore Farm - grass-fed beef, lamb and pork raised with no use of hormones, antibiotics and steroids

            • Farmer Tom of Reisterstown - locally-grown asparagus, lettuce, corn and tomatoes

            • Linganore Winery - variety of different wines

            • Mobtown Meat Snacks - beef jerky, pickled string beans and hot sauce

            • Noni’s Sauces - all-natural pasta sauces

• Phil’s Dills - pickles

• The Big Bean Theory - provides total bean-based menu with hummus, soup, salad and dessert items

 • The Wild Pea - all-natural oil-free hummus    

            The Farmer’s Market is be managed by Darla Cornett, a Franklin High School graduate now living in Annapolis who also founded Nonis Sauces.

Metro Centre at Owings Mills is designed to support more than 1.2 million square feet of Class “A” office space; 200,000 square feet of complementary retail space; 1700 residential units; educational facilities totaling 120,000 square feet and a hotel component. Two five-story buildings, cumulatively containing 56,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and 240 market-rate apartment homes on the upper four floors, were completed in late 2013.
