CRIME LOG: Woman Reports $5K of Comic Books Stolen From Work

A Pikesville resident reported that a burglar took $5,000 worth of comic books from her storage area at work, in the 3500 block of Carriage Hill Circle in Randallstown.

The books belonged to her husband, and were by Marvel, Dell and DC Comics.

She said she believes someone with access stole them sometime from May to June 1, according to a report written June 4 by Pikesville police.

Bonnie Ridge

6400 block Bonnie Ridge Drive. Between 10:30 a.m. and 9:45 p.m. June 3. A burglar came into an apartment through a rear sliding-glass door, ransacked the apartment and stole a digital camera, two pairs of Gucci shoes, a wallet, watches, two safes and a Social Security card.

Lochearn

Alter Street at Patterson Avenue. Between 2 a.m. and 2:15 a.m. June 3. Three women were traveling southbound on Alter Street when a four-door, silver vehicle with its high-beam lights on sped up and got behind their vehicle. At a red light, a passenger who was sitting in the rear right-hand seat got out, held a shotgun inside the victims' vehicle, and told them to "kick it out." He stole $18 and a touch-screen cell phone and got back in his vehicle, which left northbound on Alter Street.

Milford Mill

Rolling Road and Tawnmore Road. 1:30 a.m. June 2. Two men robbed another man who was walking home from work. They told him to "kick it out," and the victim "handed over" an iPhone and $50.

Owings Mills

9400 block of Reisterstown Road. 2:13 p.m. June 6. A burglar pried open a rear door to a residence and entered the safe, and took more than $400 in cash. The suspect wore a camouflage hat, shirt and pants, and had blue gloves and a blue mask, according to the report.

9400 block of Reisterstown Road. 2:49 p.m. June 6. A burglar pried open the rear door at another business and "ripped" out an alarm from the ceiling. Nothing else appeared to be disturbed, the report states.

Pikesville

1 Greenwood Place. 1:37 a.m. June 4. After an armed robbery, police reviewed a video at the 7-Eleven store, and saw two men walking toward the store from Old Court Road. Before the men came into the store, they ducked down past the windows, and one suspect pointed a black shotgun with a wood handle at an employee. Then he went to the front counter where he pointed the shotgun at another employee and demanded the cash drawer and money. They stole nearly $80 in cash and a $20 plastic cash drawer and ran away, the report states.

6700 block of Chisolm Drive. 6:40 a.m. June 4. A senior services worker reported that a burglar had kicked in the side door to a vacant home and ransacked it. It is not known if anything was taken. The resident had died in December.

3200 block of Midfield Road. Between 8:20 p.m. and 8:26 p.m. June 3. A burglar walked down the driveway, grabbed a bicycle that was next to the front door, unsecured, and began taking it away when a neighbor stopped him. The burglar dropped the bicycle and ran.

800 block of Sturgis Place. Between May 24 and 2:30 p.m. June 3. A resident of Owings Mills told police that his realtor found that a burglar had pried open a door, removed drywall from the basement ceiling, and removed copper piping inside the walls of the family and laundry room areas of his Pikesville home.

7100 block of Deerfield Road. Between 10:30 a.m. and 10:38 a.m. June 2. After an alarm company notified a homeowner that her alarm was sounding, she went home and noticed a window open. No items were taken.

700 Cliffedge Road. Between 8:15 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. June 2. A burglar came into a home through an unlocked side window in the living room, and took a video game system, a Blu Ray disc player and a laptop computer.

200 block of Reisterstown Road. Between 7 p.m. May 29 and 6:26 p.m. June 2. A burglar cut wiring and took an air conditioner and copper tubing from the rear of the building. The air conditioner had been attached to the building.

7600 block of Carla Road. Between 11:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. June 1. A burglar came in a side window and tried to steal an iPad and three flatscreen TVs. However, when two residents came home while the burglar was still inside, the burglar left through the same window and ran.

4100 block of Brad Jacob Court. Between 4 p.m. May 31 and 7 a.m. June 1. Someone stole an air conditioning unit from a new homes development.

200 block of Brightside Ave. Between 1 p.m. May 26 and 10:30 a.m. May 28, according to a June 4 report. A burglar came onto the property, took the lock off the shed and took a lawnmower, pop-up canopy and a cooler.

Randallstown

Old Court and Allenswood roads. 1:45 p.m. June 6. Three robbers, one with a gun, demanded money from a man and threatened to shoot him if he didn't comply. The victim ran and tried to hide in an acquaintance's home nearby. Meanwhile, the robbers followed him, and while they were outside, two to three shots were fired "from an unknown type of gun, in an unknown direction," the report states.
