A Windsor Mill woman came home last Wednesday to find a burglary in progress.
At about 2:15 p.m. on Jan. 16, a resident in the 7800 block of Liberty Road had just arrived home when she heard her front doorbell ring, followed by a noise behind her home, a police report states.
She looked out back and saw a man inside her enclosed porch. The rear door had been forced open, and the rear window had been broken by a hammer thrown through it.
According to the report, she told police the burglar then ran eastbound behind her home.
He is described as a black man, 5-foot-10 and weighing 190 pounds, the report states. He wore a black jacket and dark blue pants.
A window was also broken in the front of the house. Nothing was stolen.
