Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. has put its mark—its signs—on an empty suite at the Hooks Village on Hooks Lane.

The site is in the same center as Vito's Gourmet Italian restaurant and Synchronicity Boutique.

The restaurant offers bagels made with "Brooklynized water" that produces "a distinctive Brooklyn bagel anywhere in the world," according to the Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. website.

There are 20 restaurants in the chain—either operational or in the works, it states. The first opened in 2009 in Delray Beach, FL.

Talk-show host Larry King who is the chain's spokesman, opened one in Beverly Hills, according to a news release.

Generally, the menu offers Bagelwiches, Brooklyn Pizza Melts, egg sandwiches, soups and Original Scooper Melts, including a classic corned beef Reuben, according to the website.

In Pikesville we love bagels. But, with Goldberg's New York Kosher Bagels, Panera Bread, two Dunkin Donuts, Quarry Bagel & Cafe, Seven-Mile Market, and Suburban House and more, already offering bagels, can Pikesville sustain another shop? Have you ever tried Brooklyn Water Bagel Co.? Share your opinion—and where you get your personal-favorite bagel—in the Comments section.
