What is clever about this, Jill? Yet another pointless post on Pikesville Patch.

Dear M,
Since you asked, I find the virtual tours that are oh-so-conveniently placed in one centralized location to be interesting. I don't have time to waste touring properties in person if I don't have to.
I too like the death notices so that I can send a card or a charitable contribution to anyone I know who might have a family member listed. I
I am guessing that "M" stands for miserable. If you dislike the Patch so much, why do you bother to look at it. I'm sure you can find other interests and ways to spend your time if you feel it is pointless. I like the news format and find it entertaining. It's inexpensive and not fattening, two bonuses in my opinion.
You are spouting out anonymous angry posts pointlessly. I hope that you find something that you enjoy but I wish you would stop these attacks.
Sincerely yours,
Jill

Hi Jill,
I like Pikesville Patch and enjoy reading it. I live in Pikesville and like to stay in touch with the happenings in my neighborhood. About the 85% of the posts here on Patch are actually posts that I want to see. Things like the traffic advisory for the officer's funeral, the NORAD stuff, the stepped-up parking enforcement on the 83 and the police blotter are the kind of local news that Patch should be writing about.
I mean the whole "Elect a Mayor of Pikesville Patch" is silly, don't you think? Is that an item that belongs on a serious news site? And what about the home for sale posts? There are countless websites that are dedicated to doing just that. I mean, should the Patch start posting all the new items for sale listed in the area on Craigslist?
The notion that I dislike Patch and therefore comment about the choice of "news stories" is quite the opposite. The sole reason for my comments are simply to lobby for a change in the news direction of Patch. I comment because I want to see real local news. I comment because I like the idea and concept of a local news site.
