Greenspring Shell Clerk Robbed at Gunpoint

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department's Pikesville Precinct. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, it does not indicate a conviction.

A clerk at the Shell gas station in the Greenspring Shopping Center had a gun placed on her head and chest during a robbery this week.

At 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, a robber came into the store, ordered the clerk to give him money, ran behind the counter and put the gun on her, according to a Baltimore County police report.

He took cash and some boxes of cigarettes, and ran toward Wood Court Road, the report states.

The store is located at 2859 Smith Ave. in Pikesville.

obviously no justification for a violent crime such as this, but i agree with this comment that the prices were somewhere in site of "normal" when they reopened, only to skyrocket soon after. If i had no gas, i'd go there for one gallon, then drive elsewhere to save 30 cents a gallon.
