According to a police statement Thursday afternoon, police responded to a report of an armed robbery at 12:49 p.m. Tuesday at the bank.
The statement describes what happened at the branch, located at 3757 Old Court Road in Pikesville:
"A man approached the counter and handed the bank teller a note demanding money," it states.
"The teller handed the robber an unknown amount of cash. The suspect then exited the bank at the door closest to Reisterstown Road."
According to the report, witnesses say he came into the store at 12:40 p.m., "sat down on a bench near the PNC bank for a minute, got up, stood near the counter for another 45 seconds," then went up to the bank counter.
He left the store at 12:44 p.m., it states.
The suspect is a 5-foot 7-inch man, age 30-40. He weighs about 150 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes, and crooked front teeth, according to the statement.
He wore a black and orange Orioles baseball hat, black jacket, light-colored shirt, black-knit gloves, bluejeans and white shoes, it states.

no mention of race ? thats only done when its a white person, so assume its not
and you;llsay Im a racists,,,,,,,,, but stating the truth,,,,,,,, it all started when black folk started complaining when it was believed a black person,,,,,,,,,,, and the continual objecting to stating tha theperson was black has lead to no description of race at,,,,,,,,,,,, when witnesses say so , it is omitted,,,,,,,, not all the time I will admit, but many times, this is just a fact that I persoanlly have observed, the truth is this : both black and whites commit crimes,,,,,,,,,, in all areas of our state,,,,,,,, bu the percentage will show blacks commit more crimes alot more,,,,,,, to me I dont see it as a skin color issue, you might,,,,,,,,,, I see as a sociological one......... thatds why I say Im not basing my findings on racism, its an obsrevation,so why dont they include the race so many times in reporting these crimes?

Isn't it more important to catch a criminal than to worry about whether or not you step on toes? They lost their 'right' to remain 'racial anonymous' when they committed the crime. Giving an accurate description can only help to catch them before they commit more crimes. I have to believe that everyone who lives in Pikesville (black, white, Asian, Hispanic etc) would rather the criminal were caught, no matter what race they are. If you were going to be the victim of this criminals' next crime I'm sure that being politically correct would be the last thing you'd care about. A criminal is a criminal - no matter what color they are. Unfortunately they come in all varieties.
