Police: Reisterstown Landscaper Possibly Finds Human Hand

A landscaper found skeletal remains while working in Reisterstown Wednesday morning.

 

Officials are investigating skeletal remains that that appeared in Reisterstown Wednesday morning.

A landscaper was working in the 300 block of Hedge Pocket Way in Reisterstown when he discovered bones that appeared to be part of a human hand. The landscaper called police at 11:08 a.m. on Wednesday, said Cpl. Cathy Batton, a Baltimore County police spokeswoman.

"We can’t confirm that it’s a hand just yet," Batton said. Police are awaiting the results of tests by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, which should be available tomorrow.

“The hand is mostly skeletal remains and at this point, detectives are attempting to find how it came to be there,” Batton said.

The hand is a little more than skeletal remains. Skin tissue from the wrist to the finger tips were fully intact. Finger nails were also still present on the remains. It appeared to be old nothing "fresh" .
