UPDATE (11:22 a.m. Dec. 2)—Baltimore County police arrested a city man on Tuesday who they allege robbed elderly victims in two Pikesville home invasions within the last week.

Durante Ricco Ervin, 50, of the 2000 block of Shirley Avenue in Baltimore, is charged with home invasion robberies that occurred on Sunday and Tuesday.

Police allege that Durante forced his way into an elderly resident's home in the 3000 block of Smith Avenue on Sunday, implied that he had a gun and stole the resident's wallet before fleeing. Previously, Ervin had allegedly solicited that same elderly person for money and transportation, according to a police report.

A suspect matching Ervin's description and using similar methods allegedy entered a home in the 2000 block of Willow Glen Drive, assaulted two residents, both in their 80s, and stole $80, according to a police report.

Police searched areas that Ervin was known to frequent, Baltimore County police Lt. Jay Landsman said, and located him on the street in Baltimore. Durante is being held in the Baltimore County Detention Center in Towson on no bail, Landsman said.

UPDATE: On Friday, police released details of the Willow Glen Drive incident, which was an assault with injury.

According to a news release, the suspect allegedly pushed the man, 85, to the floor, and into the living room.

After he allegedly took the money, he threw the female victim, 83, out the front door, causing her to fall onto a table and break two lawn ornaments. She suffered minor injuries, the release states.

The victims recognized the suspect from last year, when he entered their home posing as a water meter reader.
