Comedy, wines and Mediterranean food at the Gramercy, fashion, music and markets are all in store this weekend.
What's going on this weekend? How about a tasty meal in a lovely setting? And if that's not your idea of a good time, don't worry. There are plenty of other things to do, including a fashion show, concert, a farmers market and a flea market!
Where/When: Creative Alliance at The Patterson, 3134 Eastern Ave., Baltimore. Shows are Thursday at 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday at 7, 8:30 and 10 p.m., and Sunday at 7 p.m.
Why Go: Different acts put on laughs during each show.
Pricing: $50 for all shows during the festival; $30 for one night of shows. Individual shows cost $10-15 each. To purchase tickets, call 410-276-1651.
SAIL THE SEVEN SEAS WINE SUPPER
Where/When: Gramercy Mansion at 1400 Greenspring Valley Road in Stevenson, 6:30-10 p.m. Friday.
Why Go: Take in the beautiful scenery in and around the mansion while you set sail—without leaving the restaurant. You'll enjoy a seven-course wine supper featuring wine and food from the Mediterranean region. (Be sure to get your tickets in advance.)
Pricing: $99.95
Where/When: Ward's Chapel United Methodist Church at 11023 Liberty Road in Randallstown, 6:30-9 p.m. Friday.
Why Go: Watch local models strut their stuff at this fashion show. A portion of proceeds will benefit the Baltimore Humane Society, and six different collections will be featured.
Pricing: Adults: $15, children (younger than 13 years old): $5
BELVEDERE SQUARE SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
Where/When: Belvedere Square on Friday from 6-9 p.m.
Why Go: If music is more your thing, you're sure to enjoy this free weekly concert. "The Remainders" will hit the stage Friday with a mix of classic and alternative rock.
Pricing: Free
Where/When: E 32 Street and Barclay Streets in Baltimore, 7 a.m. to noon Saturday.
Why Go: Local farmers gather to sell their produce and other wares. See what they have to offer every week. It's one of the best times of year for fresh and delicious fruits and veggies.
Pricing: Free admission; prices vary
2011 ANNUAL FLEA MARKET AND COLLECTIBLES SALE
Where/When: St Charles Borromeo Church, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Why Go: Collectibles and other items will be at this two-day flea market. The community is welcome to come out and peruse the tables to see what's for sale.
