Pikesville Players To Perform 'Man of La Mancha'

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Pikesville High School.

The musical Man of La Mancha will be performed this week at Pikesville High School.

"Featuring the world renowned song The Impossible Dream, the musical tells the story of imprisoned Miguel de Cervantes, who faces the Spanish Inquisition," according to a news release from the school.

"Using imagination, Cervantes transforms into the courageously and humorously optimistic Don Quixote and his sidekick, the realistic foil, Sancho Panza," it states.

Performances are set for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, according to the release. Tickets are $5 in advance and $8 at the door.

Call 410-887-1217 for more information.

The play is based on a book by Dale Wasserman. Lyrics are by Joe Darion, and the music is by Mitch Leigh.
