Farmers Market To Open, Church Provides Picnic Area
About 11 vendors will be at the market from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each Tuesday in Pikesville, and St. Marks On The Hill Episcopal Church has offered up its picnic area next door.
Vendors selling fruits, vegetables, herbs, hummous, jewelry and more will be in Pikesville weekly, beginning Tuesday, June 5.
The Pikesville Farmers Market, run by the Pikesville Chamber of Commerce, will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each Tuesday through Nov. 13, according to a news release.
The market offers a new, unique place to shop and makes for a nice morning outing for all, including families with young children.
It will be set up in the Office Depot parking lot at 1630 Reisterstown Road.
The Rev. Adrien Dawson of St. Marks On The Hill Episcopal Church told Pikesville Patch that visitors to the market are welcome to come to the church right next door, to the south of Office Depot, to use the church's picnic tables.
On the first day of the farmers market—at 9:30 a.m. June 5—Baltimore County Council Chairwoman Vicki Almond will help celebrate the official opening of the market, the news release states.
