Pikesville Sends High School Schedules
Students who have questions can call the school to make changes.
Pikesville High School sent out schedules for the upcoming school year late last week.
Students who have questions about their schedule can call the school at 410-887-1217 to talk about making fixes.
Others may get what's called a "course correction ticket." That's where a student was placed in a different course than the one he or she selected during registration.
If that's the case, the student can ask to have a course change. The changes will take place next Monday or Wednesday at the school from 9 a.m. to noon both days. The form that was sent in the mail has to be brought to the school to make changes.
The school year is scheduled to start on Monday, Aug. 27.

Perhaps the author needs to attend Pikesville High School to learn some grammar. The first paragraph, as written, means that the " week" is making way into hands. Most of the other sentences are improper as well.

Well, with the excessive heat in the Pikesville High School building, it's amazing the students can learn anything at all. I am always disappointed to read comments criticizing someone who is getting out information or trying to get things done. I wrote a community newsletter only to have some of my grammar picked apart. If I didn't write it, nobody would. Apathy is dangerous and we should encourage people to keep getting involved in life. Jeff, thank you for the helpful information. Elaine, sorry it upset you.

I appreciate the need for a community forum, but I'm with Elaine. Doubly so because this involves school. This article is an appalling example of literacy. Stick with Janet Metzger, please.

I do not attend PHS, but as a graduate I opened this item just to peek. Heaven help the students if this writing is their model. Parents should protest!

The article was not an indication of the quality of learning at PHS. It is an outstanding school with highly qualified teachers. We are lucky to have Janet Metzner. I think she is quite wonderful.
