PHOTOS: Walmart Super Center Is Developing in Randallstown
Construction is ongoing at the new Walmart in Liberty Plaza, and it's set to open this fall.
Curious about the progress on the new Walmart Super Center in Randallstown, I ventured there Wednesday to see how things are coming along.
What I found at the shopping center, located at the corner of Liberty Road, was that much has changed and construction is ongoing, even in the vast parking lot.
Never fear, Marshalls is still there, along with the other businesses across the way.
Fronda Cohen, spokeswoman for Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz, said that the Walmart is set to open in autumn of this year.
"They seem to be on track," for that opening, she said.
Are any new issues arising now that construction is in full swing? How do you feel about WalMart being a new neighbor in Randallstown?

Not sure what I think about this location but I sure hope that it helps when it comes to job creation in the baltimore area.

Shelly are you afraid you will have to venture into a neighborhood that you don't recognize anymore? Relax hon, it's ok. Carroll Co. is not far, if that floats your boat.

I believe the new Walmart will be a great asset to the Randallstown and surrounding area, along with creating jobs in the community as well. The biggest concern of mine would be the TRAFFIC!!! Liberty Road is a very busy road and has many intercsections. But I am grateful that a Walmart will gracing the community with it's presence.

I agree with your assessment Selahia. Next move is to remove the pawn shop and the check cashing establishments. Let the neighborhood rise again! Also, too many chicken wing joints. Let's bring a family restaurant to the area.

So glad there is a Walmart coming. It will be nice to have it there because of the convenience. i previously had to ride all the way down to the location on Washington Blvd for a SuperWalmart. I hope other chain restaurants like TGI Fridays or Ruby Tuesday will consider opening on Liberty Rd. Unfortunately IHOP is the only restaurant of its kind on Liberty Rd.
