Does this sprinkler remind you of the heat of Tuesday?

Or does it hint at cool respite?

Temperatures reached about 86 degrees or higher Tuesday afternoon, and this sprinkler was pumping out the water during the hottest time of day—about 1 p.m.

It was aimed at some landscaping on a grassy area between the Target parking garage and Reisterstown Road at the I-695 ramps.

The weather might not be so sunny later, as rain and thunderstorms are possible Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Thunderstorms could develop in late afternoon, in the area that spans from the Chesapeake Bay to counties in central Maryland, northern Virginia, and Washington—including Pikesville.

A hazardous weather warning is in effect, and storms could develop up through 2 a.m. Wednesday, the forecast states.
