The Orioles are turning back the clock in 2012.

No, they may not be the powerhouse club that took the field in the late 60s through the 70s. But the Orioles are leaning on their classic look for a new hat logo and a flashback alternate jersey.

The club has returned to the cartoon bird hat—with a slight twist on the happy bird that perched on the players' lids in the 70s and 80s—and the ball club has added an alternate orange uniform.

The team has altered its sleeve patches, too, adding one to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the opening of Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

What do you think of the Orioles new hat logo and alternate uniform? TELL US IN THE COMMENTS ...

Too bad, the Orioles can't play like those championship teams in the 70's and 80's. they are the doormats of the American League and will be as long as that idiot Angelos is there

A "cartoon" logo for the "joke" of the league...perfectly fitting.

joke of a team, in any event. It'll always be this way as long as Angelos runs it...I mean owns it.

I have always been a big Orioles fan through the good and bad years. I did not like this logo back in the 70's and still don't like it. It may be fine in a little league somewhere but it is not a professional looking logo. Just my oponion. Have a Good Day

I too remember the 'cartoon' logo. I think that the 'ornithologically' correct logo is much better.

This bird is quite professional and the iconic symbol of excellence the club represented in its glorious past. Bravo for bringing this timeless classic back. Its about time.
