New Gym in Town: Alturnative Fitness 'Coming Soon'
A fitness club owned and operated by Linda Howard—who is also a Pikesville Patch blogger—is moving in to the Commerce Center.

Linda Howard has been on a fitness and wellness journey for about 30 years, and soon she'll share her expertise with Pikesville through her new venue: Alturnative Fitness Center.
On Sunday, signs went up at the location in the Commerce Center—1777 Reisterstown Road—and they indicate that Alturnative Fitness is "Coming Soon."
It's a different spelling for a unique name: participating in Alturnative Fitness can be a new beginning—a "turn"-ing point, Howard has said.
Howard, chief operations officer, said she's been busy lately with design plans and other work that comes with opening a new business.

Recently, another fitness business opened in the Commerce Center: Charm City Yoga.
Other businesses in the Commerce Center include MECU branch, Ruth's Chris Steak House and The Red Garter.
Also coming soon in the nearby Hooks Village shopping center is Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. That's in the same building as Vito's Gourmet.
