UPDATE: Milford Mill Woman Charged in Kidnapping

UPDATE (10:06 a.m. Monday)—A custody dispute played a role in the abduction of a 10-month-old boy in Pikesville on Saturday, authorities said.

The boy's legal guardian brought him to a Pikesville home so he could visit with his biological mother, according to a police statement.

Kendra Nicole Gough, 20, daughter of the biological mother, and two of her friends came to the home during the visit and an argument began about who should be the child's legal guardian, police said.

During the argument, one of Gough's friends allegedly walked into an upper-level bedroom, took the boy from the bed, and walked out of the house, police said. Later that evening, an officer who was canvassing the area found the woman with the boy and a backpack at the Old Court Metro station in the 4300 block of Old Court Road.

Gough, of the unit-block of Tamers Ct. in Milford Mill, was arrested and charged with kidnapping a child under the age of 16, abduction of a child under the age of 16, and possessing a concealed dangerous weapon, according to the report.

Fire department officials checked the boy and found that he was unharmed. Police took him back to his legal guardian, police said.

Officers searched Gough's backpack, and allegedly found a knife, baby clothing and baby food, according to the statement.

"The police report does not indicate that the knife was used during the crime," according to the statement.



Original Story (5:58 p.m. Sunday)—A 20-year-old Milford Mill woman was arrested Saturday after police charged her with kidnapping a child under the age of 16.

At about 6 p.m. Saturday, police went to the 4800 block of Hawksbury Road in Pikesville and determined that a known woman had taken a 10-month-old boy from the home, according to a statement from the Baltimore County Police Department.

During the investigation, police found out where the child was, and about an hour later brought the boy back—safe and unharmed, the report states.

Kendra Nicole Gough, 20, of the unit-block of Tamers Ct., was charged with kidnapping a child under the age of 16, abduction of a child under the age of 16, and possessing a concealed dangerous weapon, it states.

Gough is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
