Milford Mill 7-Eleven Target of Armed Robbery
A clerk was robbed at gunpoint May 26 at the 7-Eleven store where the winning Mega Millions ticket was sold this spring.
The 7-Eleven where a winning Mega Millions lottery ticket was sold in March was the target of armed robbery last week.
A man wearing a mask entered the store in the 8000 block of Liberty Road, at about 1:37 a.m. May 26, pointed a black, semi-automatic handgun at the employee and demanded money, according to a Baltimore County Police report.
The suspect ran out of the store with an unknown amount of money toward Rockdale Terrace with another man who had been waiting outside.
The store was the center of worldwide media attention after March 30, when it sold the winning $656 million Mega Millions lottery ticket.

Wheeling, WV, has it right: pharmacist fatally shoots masked, armed robber to death (three shots to the chest and head) in robber's vain attempt, while waving and brandishing his pistol, to have pharmacist's terrified employees fill a bag with pills! (Turned out that the pharmacist was a trained, skilled marksman.)

Thankfully everyone is relatively safe now, and without any shots fired.
