UPDATE: Kosher Middle Eastern Restaurant Opens in Alley Shops

The business opened Monday and Pikesville and will plan a grand opening celebration in a few weeks.

UPDATE (Jan. 8)—There's a new kosher restaurant in downtown Pikesville: Easta La Vista, featuring Middle Eastern cuisine.

The restaurant, located at 1330 Reisterstown Road—the former site of Paradiso Italian Grill and Bar—opened Monday, but owners plan a grand opening in a few weeks, according to an email from the business.

There's an Easta La Vista website that bears the same logo: a smiling chef holding two plates, including one with shish kebobs. However, that site is not yet accurate, a representative from the restaurant said Jan. 8.

There is no restaurant in D.C. as that website states, she said.

The 'soft opening' menu, which costs $12.99 for adults, includes choice of entrees: meatballs, shawarma, kabobs, shnitzel and Moroccan fish. For details, visit the menu website.

Food is Star-K Kosher certified.

More items will be offered later, according to the Pikesville restaurant's Facebook page.

Hours of operation were not posted Thursday morning at the Pikesville store. However, a sign states that the restaurant will be closed this Friday and Saturday this week only.

It will be open again this Sunday, the sign states.

According to the website, the D.C. restaurant offers shish kebobs, burgers, cakes, breads, crepes, pancakes, pies, and more.

For more information, visit the Pikesville restaurant's Facebook page, or call the store at 410-484-1174.

Editor's Note: The website that mentions Easta La Vista in Washington, D.C. is the Pikesville restaurant's site, but, as of Jan. 8, has incorrect information, according to a representative of the restaurant. There is no D.C. restaurant, the representative said.
