USAF Airman 1st Class Matthew R. Seidler, 24, was killed in action Jan. 5 in Afghanistan. His funeral is set for 9 a.m. Tuesday at Sol Levinson & Bros Funeral Home.

Sol Levinson & Bros Funeral home is the site of USAF Airman 1st Class Matthew R. Seidler's funeral at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Seidler, 24, of Westminster, was killed in action Jan. 5 when his vehicle struck an insurgent bomb in Helmand District, Afghanistan, according to the Air Force.

He was one of three airmen killed as a result of that incident, according to an article in Westminster Patch.

The funeral is at 9 a.m., and interment is set at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va., with full military honors, the article states.

A Patriot Guard Riders notice states that the group of motorcyclists will honor Seidler and support the family at the service.

According to the group's website, the riders are invited to servicemembers' funerals by the families.

The mission of the riders is to: "Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities," according to the group's website.

It also helps to "shield the mourning family and their friends from interruptions created by any protestor or group of protestors," the site states.
