It's official.

Jay Landsman Jr., who has been with the Pikesville precinct since it opened in 2006, is now a captain, and is headed for an assignment in Towson. That assignment begins Monday.

Landsman was among the 46 Baltimore County police officers promoted Friday.

Also on Monday, Lt. William Lally, who was also promoted from his sergeant rank Friday, will succeed Landsman in Pikesville.
