The Shoshana S. Cardin School has announced several changes to its leadership team.
So far, David Prashker, the new head of school who arrived a few weeks ago, has restructured Cardin's leadership team and has put new academic and leadership programs in place.
Jewish life will fall under the watch of school Rabbi Yaakov Chaitovsky.
Jewish studies and general studies previously worked independent of each other with separate deans, but they’ll now come together under the guidance of principal Leslie Smith Rosen.
“No one knows the school better than Morah Rosen,” Prashker said in a statement. “We are absolutely thrilled that she has agreed to take on this new challenge.
“Baltimore is blessed with a number of Jewish community high schools, but Cardin ... is open to the whole community, with a pluralistic curriculum as well as a pluralist student body," he said.
Most recently, Prashker worked at Temple Sinai of North Dade/Jacobson Sinai Academy in Miami, the release states. He’s held teaching, administrative and directorial positions in the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States.
