Burglar Pulls Off Pricey Timepieces Plunder

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department's Pikesville Precinct. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, it does not indicate a conviction.

A burglar robbed a Pikesville family of two expensive watches, possibly because unlocked door presented an opportunity.

Between 9 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, a burglar came into a home in the 9000 block of Balin Court, and took two watches out of a drawer, according to a report by Baltimore County police.

A jeweled Rolex watch and an Omega watch were stolen, it states. According to the report, the burglary may have occurred because a door was left unlocked by a child.

There were no witnesses, and no damage to the house or its contents, the report states.
