It's more than a nice shortcut -- I would say that it's necessary. I approach Stevenson Road from the west side of the beltway and need to go north on Stevenson. Exiting at Park Heights Road and crossing over Brooks Robinson Drive is the only decent way to get to Stevenson Road. As for the trucks and cars that park there for an extended time, they don't really bother me. My only comment on this is that it is very dangerous to cross this road; and people often do this when the friend that they're meeting is parked on the other side. In fact, I believe that someone was killed crossing this road several years ago.

I have to admit, I use it to get to Stevenson Road, then home, as well, Wendi! I like bypassing the Park Heights exit. And I've been to the hotdog stand to interview The Park School students. Here's some comments from Pikesville Patch's Facebook Page:

Linda: "It is a State road designed for the truckers. ie: the road was created for trucks, not a nice short-cut for us. ... I just don't get what the big deal is?"
