Baltimore Mayor to Address Chamber

Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake will discuss six key points during her Dec. 13 speaking engagement.

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake is coming to Pikesville.

The mayor will speak at the Pikesville Chamber of Commerce luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Dec 13. The event takes place at the Mari Luna Latin Grill, located at 1010 Reisterstown Road.

The mayor's visit is an opportunity to learn more about what the mayor's priorities are for the upcoming year.

"What happens in Baltimore City directly impacts this community," said Sherrie Becker, executive director for the chamber. "Pikesville borders the city and we have a lot of shared interests, priorities, and challenges."

The topics that are scheduled to be discussed are economic development, schools, crime, housing, city growth, and shared challenges, according to the chamber's website, www.pikesvillechamber.org

The event is open to the public. The cost is $20 for chamber members, and $25 for non-members.

To make a reservation, contact the chamber at 410-484-2337 or e-mail the chamber at pikesvillechamber@verizon.net.

The mayor's public information officer did not respond by press time to e-mail and phone messages requesting comment from the mayor.
