I'm the one of those people you see around Pikesville with a laptop computer bag on her shoulder and a camera or iPhone in hand. Here are some photos I took while on the job April 6.

I was invited to Rite Aid at Greenspring Shopping Center to take some photographs of the newly renovated store, which is hosting its grand opening celebration through April 9. Catch the store's events today and tomorrow. For more info on the renovations, visit Editor's Notebook.

As I drove through downtown after picking up police reports from Precinct 4, the cherry blossoms looked strikingly beautiful against the dark-gray backdrop of Mr. Chan's restaurant.

It was an "I've-gotta-stop" moment.

About this column: Pikesville Patch is on the prowl, looking for great opportunities to photograph our community.

I was just at the Pikes Diner last night for a meeting and it's a great place to go! Fun atmosphere, good food with a vast menu ( the steamed crabs looked awesome), a lively bar, and convenient parking.
