Police: Man Robbed of Shoes, Phone in Pikesville Building

A Reisterstown man was arrested after Baltimore County police charged him with armed robbery Jan. 24 in Pikesville.
At about 1 p.m., a 27-year-old aquaintance of Jylio Arturo Makel, 27, was in the building at 1116 Reisterstown Road when allegedly Makel and four others approached him.
The building houses Healthway Pharmacy and some offices.
The group allegedly asked the victim for money and shoes, according to a police report. When the victim said he didn't have it, one of the suspects allegedly pulled out a gun and removed the victim's shoes and cell phone from him.
The suspects drove away in a silver Acura TL, the report states.
The victim's Samsung Galaxy 2 cell phone and his Timberland boots were stolen but not recovered, the report states.
According to court records, Makel was charged with armed robbery, robbery, felony firearm use, first- and second-degree assault and theft of less than $1,000.
He was released Jan. 25 from the Baltimore County Detention Center on $150,000 bond.His preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 22.
