No area high schools have held graduation yet, and schools are still in.
But by giving away free Slurpees on Wednesday, 7-Eleven is pronouncing that summer has already begun.
Stores throughout the country, including in Pikesville, Owings Mills, Randallstown and Woodlawn, are giving away free Slurpees from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.—until supplies last.
We called around and found seven stores that are participating, including the 7-Eleven at 7401 Windsor Mill Road in Woodlawn.
They have six flavors there, including wild cherry, banana, grape and mango.
The mango, called Fanta Sugar-Free Mango Glory, is a lite drink with half the calories of the other Slurpees, according to the Slurpee website.
Visitors to participating 7-Elevens can get a 7.11-ounce cup of the icy, refreshing—and often sweet—drink in the flavor of their choice, according to the 7-Eleven website.
Last year, the size of cups ran out at some stores. So, if you want to go back and assure that you can get more, you might want to save that cup!
Patch called around, and here is a list of only some of the participating stores:
- 1801 Reisterstown Road in Pikesville
- 1204 Reisterstown Road in Pikesville
- 1604 Reisterstown Road in Pikesville
- 3731 Crondall Lane, Owings Mills
- 9100 Liberty Road in Randallstown
- 2701 Rolling Road in Woodlawn
- 7401 Windsor Mill Road in Woodlawn
What's your favorite Slurpee flavor? Have you tried the lite Mango flavor, and what's your opinion of it? Where is your favorite 7-Eleven store, and are they participating? Snap a pic of yourself with your Slurpee—or of just your Slurpee—and attach it to this article! Patch couldn't call everywhere, so if you know of a store that is participating, let others know by mentioning it in the comments!
