State Police Class to Graduate Friday

State Police Superintendent Col. Marcus L. Brown will lead the graduation ceremony Friday for 52 new state troopers in the 137th graduation class.

He will present badges and diplomas to the candidates who have completed six months of rigorous training in a residential police academy, according to a news release from state police.

Families, friends and fellow members of the State Police will attend.  

Keynote speaker will be Special Agent In Charge Rick McFeely of the Baltimore Office of the FBI, the release states.

McFeely is a terrorism expert, in addition to his many other accomplishments during his FBI career.  He is an important partner in Maryland�s efforts to protect the state from terrorism and reduce violent crime.  

The graduation will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Century High School Auditorium, 355 Ronsdale Road, Sykesville, MD 21784.

Directions: Take I-695 to I-70 west and exit at Route 32/Exit 80, travel north on Route 32 to Route 26/Liberty Road and turn left, proceed to Linton Road and turn right, proceed to the four-way stop sign and turn left onto Ronsdale Road.
