JCS and JCC Offer 'Good Grief' for Teens
Jewish Community Services and the Jewish Community Center are starting a project for teens ages 14-18 who are grieving the death of a loved one.
The group will get together four times, on March 12 and 19 and April 9 and 16, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the JCC in Owings Mills.
Pre-registration is required. There will be an orientation for parents sy 7 p.m. at the JCS office in Owings Mills (at the Owings Mills JCC).
Working together on a mosaic art project will give teens a creative and healthy outlet for their grief while they get support from each other and from a professional grief counselor.
The finished piece of art will be displayed at the JCC, offering comfort and hope to others who have lost someone close to them. No previous artistic training or experience is necessary to join in this project, and there is no fee.
For more information and to register, please call Jewish Community Services, 410-466-9200.
JCS and the JCC are agencies of THE ASSOCIATED: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore.
