The Baltimore JCC Maccabi Club will be offering the following sports and arts competitions for 2013.
For pre-teens, teams will be formed for the Mid-Atlantic Junior Maccabi Games scheduled for Sunday, May 6th 2013. The Junior Maccabi Games are geared for athletes’ ages 10-12 years old. This is a one day event held each spring and attended by over 700 athletes from PA, DE, MD and NJ. Sports include Swimming, Tennis, Baseball, Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Boys Soccer and Girls Soccer. Tryouts are open to pre-teens that have turned 10 and have not turned 13 by 5/1/13.
Try-outs will take place for the 28th Annual JCC Continental Maccabi Games which are scheduled to take place July 28th – August 2nd in Austin, Texas; and August 4th – 9th in Orange County, CA.
The Baltimore delegation will be organizing tryouts to send teams and individual athletes to compete in the following sports; Boy’s Baseball, Basketball, Lacrosse, Soccer and In-line hockey; Girls’ Basketball, Lacrosse, Soccer, Softball and Volleyball; Co-ed Flag Football, Bowling, Dance, Golf, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis and Track & Field.
Depending on the sports, teams will be formed in the following age groupings 13/14 and 15/16 for players that have either turned 13, or are 16 years of age as of August 1, 2013. Try-outs for all sports competition will be schedule to take place during the beginning of 2013.
ArtsFest opportunities will be available in the following specialties; Acting/Improv, Culinary Arts, Creative Writing, Dance, Jazz Ensemble, Musical Theater, Rock Music, Vocal Music and Visual Arts.
